The illustrations are examples. The floating Orka widget is a real support service. We use a fixed green theme and no longer save a color preference.
1. What this policy covers
This policy describes cookies and similar storage on Orka’s marketing website, including its feature and legal pages. The site is operated by BIGMO SAS, 14 Rue Charles IV, 75004 Paris, France. Contact: [email protected].
Our floating support widget loads from widget.orka.chat and its project subdomain. The account dashboard and Orka widgets installed on other websites also operate in their own contexts. A host website can also add its own tools. Read the information shown in that service or on that website; the inventory below is specific to this marketing site.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small value a website asks your browser to store and send with later requests. Local storage is a different browser store used by a page to remember information. It is not automatically included in every network request.
Storage can support a requested function, remember a preference or, with appropriate choices, measure or advertise. Its purpose matters more than its name. The marketing code does not add advertising pixels. The real support widget handles conversation continuity and visitor context; those functions are separate from the page’s interactive illustrations.
3. Storage used on this website
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration and control |
|---|---|---|
| Orka support widget Embedded support service | Provides real chat, conversation continuity and visitor context. Browser storage is managed by the widget on its own origin. | Inspect and clear the relevant orka.chat and widget.orka.chat site data in your browser. This can reset local chat continuity; it does not delete messages already sent to support. |
| FAQ answer Page memory | Displays the question you submitted and its generated answer. The question is processed server-side through OpenAI as described in our privacy policy. | The page does not persist the question or answer in browser storage. Reloading clears the displayed answer. |
| Interactive demo state Page memory | Keeps example messages, map position, draft text and selected demo options while you use the page. | Lost when the page reloads or closes. Not a persistent cookie. |
| Feature profile URL query parameter | Keeps the selected business profile in a shareable page address. | Part of the URL, not browser storage. Choose “Explore everything” to remove it. The URL may remain in your own browser history. |
The website preview’s temporary metadata cache is held by the server, not as a cookie in your browser. See the Privacy policy for that feature.
4. Your controls
Use your browser’s site-data settings to inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage for the relevant domain, including the support widget’s origin. Blocking widget storage may affect chat continuity. Closing the widget hides it; it is not a request to erase a conversation.
The former orka-brand-theme preference is removed when the current site loads. The site no longer recreates it.
Clearing local data does not delete messages already delivered to our team or information held by a service. Contact [email protected] for a request concerning a conversation or account. Clearing data for the separate dashboard can affect sign-in.
5. External websites and infrastructure
The “See Orka on your website” tool only loads the external website after you submit its address. That website may use its own cookies or other storage, subject to its policies and your browser’s restrictions. The branded preview option avoids showing the external page, although its public favicon may still be requested. Closing the modal stops displaying the embedded page.
Ordinary external links load the destination when you follow them. The destination’s privacy and cookie information then applies. Cloudflare delivers and protects this website; infrastructure protections can depend on the request and browser environment.
6. Optional tracking
The marketing page does not add an advertising service. The embedded support widget processes visitor activity and conversation context for support. Its behavior depends on the service configuration. If non-essential tracking is introduced, the site must provide the information and consent controls required for it before activation, including an accessible way to change that choice.
For an explanation of French rules for cookies and similar technologies, visit the CNIL’s cookie guidance. A browser setting and a consent choice inside another service are different controls.
7. Updates and contact
We revise this policy when the website’s storage behavior changes. The date at the top identifies this version. Questions about a cookie or your data can be sent to [email protected]. Include the relevant website or service so we can answer for the right context.
