Including you, if your must-haves live on this page.
We build for founders and small teams who want one support inbox for the products they run. That focus means making choices about what Orka does—and where another tool is a better fit.

FOUR REASONS TO LOOK ELSEWHERE
If these are non-negotiable, we would rather tell you now.
YOUR OWN INFRASTRUCTURE
You need self-hosting.
Orka is a hosted service. If your requirement is to run the support platform on your own servers, in an air-gapped environment or under your own deployment control, Orka is not the right match.
What to look for instead
Make deployment ownership a hard requirement in your shortlist. A self-hosted product also needs an operator to handle upgrades, backups and availability.
Orka focuses on live chat, customer context, shared knowledge and AI-assisted conversations. It is not a native telephony platform with a dialer, phone numbers, IVR menus, call queues or call recording.
What to look for instead
If agents spend their day taking calls, start with your telephony or contact-center requirements. A chat widget can complement that system; it should not be sold to you as a replacement.
If your rollout requires enterprise SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning or a full identity-governance workflow, do not choose Orka on the assumption that these capabilities are included.
What to look for instead
Project access controls for teammates are useful, but they are not the same as company-wide identity management. Establish required controls before moving your team.
If your core workflow needs advanced workforce scheduling, telephony routing, enterprise SLA administration and tightly orchestrated service operations, Orka probably is not the platform to build the whole operation around.
What to look for instead
Orka’s shared inbox is designed for founders and small teams. A large feature checklist is less important than whether the tool can run your actual operating model.
Several products. A small team. One place to help.
Your SaaS, your Shopify app, your weekend project and your store can share a support inbox. You can answer yourself, review an Orky draft or let it cover familiar questions when you are away.
Founders with a portfolioStop checking a different support workspace for every launch.
Small teams sharing the workUse project access, assignments, private notes and handovers.

A FEW MORE LINES WORTH DRAWING
Useful features. Specific promises.
A visitor-data SDK is not an automatic database connection. Your app decides which attributes to send and keeps them current. Installing chat alone does not import every subscription, order or account record.
An AI answer is not a completed account action. Explaining a return policy and issuing a refund are different jobs. Keep financial decisions, policy exceptions and sensitive changes in a process you control.
Unlimited projects is not unlimited AI. Project count is included on every plan. Team size, some features and AI usage still matter. Our pricing page separates those costs.
A simple installation is still an integration. You need permission to edit and publish the site, and should test it with your routes, theme and users. Read the performance explanation before assuming any widget has no cost.

Teams that require self-hosting, native phone support, enterprise identity management or a complex contact-center platform. Orka is designed around a hosted shared inbox for founders and small teams running one or several products.
Can I self-host Orka?+
No. Orka is a hosted product. If running the support system on your own infrastructure is mandatory, choose a product that explicitly supports that deployment model.
Does Orka include phone support software?+
No native telephony platform is included. Do not expect phone numbers, an IVR, a call-center dialer or call recording from the Orka live-chat widget.
Are teammate permissions the same as enterprise SSO and SCIM?+
No. Choosing which projects a teammate can access is different from enterprise identity management. If SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning or identity governance is required, Orka is not the right assumption to make.
Is Orka only for people who run several products?+
No. You can start with one product. Multiple projects are the main differentiator: you can add a SaaS, app or store later and keep one shared support inbox instead of another daily workspace.
Does unlimited projects mean every feature and AI usage is free?+
No. Unlimited projects are included on all plans. Solo covers one person; Pod and Fleet include more teammates and features. AI usage is separate. For example, message search, image sharing and analytics start on Pod.
Can Orky automatically refund orders or change a subscription?+
Do not assume that. Orky can answer from your knowledge, draft replies and participate in conversations. A helpful answer about a refund is different from permission and a working integration to execute one. Route account changes and exceptions through your established process.
Can I choose Orka for a regulated workflow just because it has an iframe?+
No. An iframe is an interface boundary, not a compliance certification. Evaluate contractual, data-handling and security requirements separately. Ask specific questions before sending sensitive data.
Will you add every missing feature later?+
This page describes the product today, not a future commitment. Choose based on what you can use now. We would rather help you find a fit than ask you to depend on an unannounced roadmap.
